Who we are

Equita’s business model is structured in three complementary and synergical areas: Sales & Trading, Equity Research and Investment Banking.

Sales &Trading

Sales &trading is the distinctive leitmotif of Equita’s history. One of the largest operating sales centres active in Italy, Equita was rated “Best Broker” in Thomson Extel’s 2007 and 2008 rankings and is stably in the top positions for volume traded. Equita is differentiated from the other main Italian brokers by virtue of its client target: all trades are in fact originated by institutional clients based in Italy, in the rest of Europe, and in the USA.

Equity Research

The quality and experience of its equity research team is one of Equita’s key strengths. The 15 analysts of the Equity Research Department, who average 10 years’ experience in the sector, assure extensive coverage of the Italian equity market (Equita researches over 130 companies, equivalent to over 98% of the Milan Stock Exchange total capitalization). Equita’s research team is today the best team in Italy active in equity research. In the last few years Thomson Extel’s respected survey of investors concerning equity research quality has regularly rated Equita analysts as the best “country team” and best “small & mid caps team”. Similarly, Institutional Investor presented Equita in top place in its 2008 “Italian Research Team” ranking..

Investment Banking

Equita boasts a long tradition and vast experience in investment banking. For over three decades it has been offering Italian businesses advisory services in the execution of extraordinary financial operations and assistance in placing Italian stocks.
